The World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development (Mondiacult) is UNESCO’s principal global platform for cultural policy; it shapes global consensus on culture’s role in development and in the protection of cultural rights. The Cannabis Embassy coordinates cultural action within the UNESCO framework, with a focus on national implementation of international norms related to culture, science, and education.
With your support, we hope to be able to expand our work at UNESCO in coming years.
Our work at UNESCO is cross-cutting with our work related to cultural rights, in particular with Human Rights Treaty Bodies, namely the Committee on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (for the ICESCR treaty).
The Cannabis Embassy’s Permanent Mission in Geneva (PM Geneva) is the Cannabis Embassy Government‘s body (under the Ministry of External Affairs) mandated to interact with international organisations headquartered in Geneva as well as Paris, Rome, and Montréal.
