About the Cannabis Embassy
Cannabis Embassy (officially: Legatio Cannabis — 大麻大使馆 — سفارة القنب) is an international horizontal advocacy project. Proclaimed on 17 March 2024, it operates as a sui generis, independent State without territory.
Supported by organizations such as ENCOD (Austria), FAAAT-Forum Drugs Mediterranean (France/Spain/Algeria), Fields of Green for ALL (South Africa), Cannabis Sans Frontières (France), and Veterans for Medical Cannabis Access (USA), the Cannabis Embassy envisions a world where humankind has the fundamental right to live in harmony with Cannabis sativa L. –in its versatile uses, across ecosystems, histories and cultures– thereby contributing to the wellbeing of all life.
Our mission is to enable informed, respectful, just, and sustainable societies where cannabis is liberated, fostering solidarity and amplifying voices and actions internationally.
Through advocacy, education, and community support, we strive to achieve this vision and ensure that the versatile uses of cannabis (hemp, dagga, ganja, marijuana, ntansgu, diamba, maconha, pot, konopi…) are respected across ecosystems, histories, and cultures.

History and Purpose
The Cannabis Embassy was proclaimed on March 17, 2024, as a sui generis, independent State without territory. Our mission is to advocate globally for the liberation and responsible use of Cannabis sativa L., fostering solidarity and amplifying voices to create informed, respectful, and sustainable societies. Supported by numerous NGOs, we strive to ensure that humanity can live harmoniously with this versatile plant.
